ice framed in driftwood on Lake Muskoka

Perhaps my fascination with these ice formations comes from the fact that they look like they are trying to grow into something recognizable, as can happen with clouds sometimes, so I become absorbed trying to figure out what that might be. This ice framed in driftwood on Lake Muskoka reminds me of a fossil of prehistoric jaws specially created by the lake to foreshadow biting winter on its way.
