Even during the coldest weather springs in Muskoka continue pushing water from deep underground to run over the surface. Most of these springs produce barely a trickle but over time the water can build up and freeze into large heavy ice waterfalls like this one. I love finding these formations and always try to get photos of them as they grow during the winter.
